Job Title: Kennel Technician

Location: Hidden Acres Farm – 13870 Hagood Rd. Milton, GA
Job Type: Part-Time
Position Overview: The Kennel Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and cleanliness of our dog care facility. This role involves various tasks aimed at maintaining a sanitary and comfortable environment for the dogs and a positive experience for our clients. Key Responsibilities:
Sanitation Duties:o Pick up feces and properly dispose of waste in the play yard.o Hose down and clean play yards and play equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.o Sweep, mop, and dust the dog rooms to maintain cleanliness.o Hose off and thoroughly clean crates and kennels on a regular basis.
Dog Care:o Supervise and manage play groups, allowing dogs to interact and play in a safe manner.o Let dogs out for bathroom breaks and supervised playtime.o Ensure that dogs receive adequate exercise and attention according to their needs.o Administer food and medication to dogs when applicable.Client Interaction:o Facilitate client drop-offs and pick-ups, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for both pets and owners.Additional Responsibilities:o Occasionally perform farm sitting duties, which may include feeding and caring for additional animals as needed.o Assist with any other tasks as directed by management to ensure the overall smooth operation of the facility.

Qualifications:• Previous experience working with animals, particularly dogs, is preferred but not required.• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety.• Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
